Big Bud

Big Bud is a feminized, Indica-dominant strain built around one defining trait: exceptionally heavy flower production. Its Skunk #1 and Northern Lights #1 heritage combines classic Afghanica-influenced structure with the distinctive character associated with old-school Skunk genetics, resulting in a vigorous medium-sized plant with dense, resinous flower clusters.

Skunk #1 x Northern Lights #1 genetics

With 85% Indica and 15% Sativa genetics, Big Bud leans strongly towards a physically relaxing strain character. The Skunk influence adds a brighter edge to the experience, while Northern Lights #1 contributes to the deeply settled, long-lasting finish reported for this cultivar.

Its aroma and flavour profile brings together citrus, spice, Skunk and woody notes. The combination is recognisable and full-bodied, with earthy depth beneath the sharper Skunk and citrus tones.

Dense, resin-coated flowers

Big Bud develops large, solid flower clusters that can become heavily coated in resin, including within the inner parts of the buds. This makes the strain particularly notable for growers seeking substantial, compact-looking flowers from a plant that remains medium in size.

With a THC level of 17–20% and no listed CBD content, Big Bud is reported to deliver a relaxing effect with considerable physical weight. Individual results can vary depending on phenotype, growing conditions and harvest timing.

Flowering time and yield potential

Big Bud has a relatively quick indoor flowering period of around 7–8 weeks. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation, it offers considerable production potential when given the conditions and space to develop its sizeable blooms.

• Indoor yield potential: 550–650 g/m²
• Outdoor yield potential: 1,300–1,400 g per plant
• Plant size: Medium
• Seed type: Feminized

For growers drawn to proven, high-yielding Indica genetics, Big Bud offers a practical balance of manageable plant stature, rapid flowering and famously generous harvest potential.
